New research has revealed the UK hotspots for where drivers are most likely to be caught speeding alongside the areas which reported the highest speeds across the country. The camera hotspots include spot speed sites red-light cameras speed on green sites and average speed cameras. London reported the highest number of speed cameras in the country with a total of 631 cameras installed per 1 000km2. However Nottinghamshire saw the fastest speeder driving at a staggering 191mph on the M1 Southbound junction at Junctions 26 and J25. Further findings include: The second fastest speeders were recorded in Humberside with a driver reaching a speed of 163mph. This was followed by a speeder in the West Midlands who reached 159mph on the A180 Cleethorpe Road. The area with the slowest top speeder was Cheshire clocking a top speed of 94mph. Northern Ireland reported the lowest number of speed cameras in the UK with a total of 5 cameras and only 0.4 cameras per 1 000km2.
