New research has revealed the most popular classic cars according to both Google searches and social media data. The research conducted by confused.com analysed annual global Google searches as well as TikTok views and Instagram hashtags to reveal the most popular classic cars on the internet. The Nissan Skyline GT-R ranks first with the highest searches overall - 8 207 000 in total. The Nissan Skyline GT-R was revived in 1989 and soon became Nissan s flagship model remaining relevant through appearances in films such as the Fast & Furious series. The Lamborghini Miura was the company s flagship model up until 1973 and is famous for featuring in the opening sequence of The Italian Job. The Honda Prelude rounds off the top 3 ranking third with almost 155 000 tagged Instagram posts and 14 400 000 000 total TikTok views. The Honda Prelude was in production for over 20 years later becoming a contender to models such as the Toyota Celica Mazda RX-7 and the Mitsubishi Eclipse. Further Insights: The Ferrari F355 is the car with the highest return of interest overall with the value of the car increasing by 214% since its release in 1994 - jumping from $65 000 to $204 000.
