New research from Zutobi has revealed that men aged 25-34 are the most dangerous drivers in the UK with men making up 62.6% of all road accidents. Meanwhile Kingston upon Hull is the area in the UK which has the most accidents with 232.1 accidents per 100 000 people. The analysis used data from the Department for Transport s road traffic statistics and took into account incidents where at least one person was injured. The analysis showed that when it comes to men vs. women males are most likely to get into road accidents with 62.6% of incidents involving a man being injured. Meanwhile women are involved in 36.8% of road accidents. When looking at the age groups that are the most dangerous drivers in the UK drivers aged between 25 and 34 are the most likely to be in a road accident with more than a quarter (22.56%) of all incidents involving people in this age range. Kingston upon Hull is the area of the UK which sees the most road accidents per 100 000 people with 232.1 accidents per 100 000 people in the population. In terms of areas that have the highest number of accidents overall Kent comes out as the most dangerous area with 2 964 road accidents reported in the area across the year. An estimated 1.3 million people worldwide are fatally injured each year as a result of road collisions and many more are affected by crashes. Although driving in the UK is safer than in most countries in the world and home to one of the lowest fatality rates road collisions are not uncommon.
