With global fuel prices on the rise Zutobi has carried out a new study which reveals the cars that give you the best range. The study also looked at new electric cars on the market revealing that the Nissan Navara (petrol) and Tesla Model S (EV) are the best range cars available. The study also found that in 2021 the average range of EVs is still below what you d find in a conventionally powered car - 231 miles per charge compared to 519 per tank of fuel. Having said that there are still plenty of EV options above that average range. Unsurprisingly four out of five cars with the most range were Tesla models with the brand often seen as the pioneer of longer-range EVs. The newly-launched BMW i4 takes third place with a range of 358 miles whilst the lower-priced Kia EV6 is close behind with a range of 328 miles. The Nissan Nivara ranks first as the car with the greatest range and the only one with over 700 miles! Range Rover is close behind with a maximum range of 694 whilst the Ford Mondeo sits third with 665 miles. Jaguar ranked as the highest range performance car with both the XF and F Type taking up the top two with an impressive range of 547 miles and 480 miles respectively. Mercedes also had two models in the top five both with ranges over 400 miles.
